This fest will run in American Samoa Time, SST.

Professor Oak, what are the RULES?
1. Anyone can prompt!1
2. Given that this is a SuChen fic fest, you may only focus on Suho/Chen relationships. Brothers, Best Friends, Lovers, and/or Husbands? ALL FINE!
3. Triggering prompts are accepted EXCEPT FOR non-con, dub-con, and underage (17 and below!) sex.
4. Give prompts that are not too limiting. Below are examples of a good and a bad prompt:

GOOD PROMPT: Fresh from resigning from a corporate post, Joonmyun decides to pursue his passion for fashion as a career. Jongdae thinks it’s probably a bad idea. (You provided a general idea of how the plot should be fleshed out.)
BAD PROMPT: Joonmyun quits his corporate job because he can’t stand his father anymore. He decides to go take on a job in a fashion magazine where he meets Jongdae who has been in the company for two years already. Kris, the big boss, pairs them up for a big project and the two have no choice but to get along with each other. Jongdae tries to sabotage Joonmyun’s work but ends up being drawn to Joonmyun, instead. (This is too limiting; you've already dictated the flow of the story.)
BAD PROMPT #2: Joonmyun quits his job and meets Jongdae somewhere along the way. (Too vague.)

Prompt form
Prompting will be done via Archive of Our Own’s Prompt Meme challenge. 1If you do not have an AO3 account, please refer to the FAQ on how to submit a prompt!

The prompt form looks like this. It’s pretty self explanatory, but if you have any questions, please check the FAQ on how to fill in the details of your prompt!

In the grand scheme of things, capturing a moment is much like capturing a Pokemon — it takes a lot of effort and patience. Sometimes, you get lucky; most of the time, you don’t. So you wait for that magical moment and watch as the ball twitches, rolling over to either side thrice until the shaking stops.

In the same way, capturing Pokemon is much like waiting for a Suho/Chen moment to happen — it’s painstakingly difficult. And frustrating. But rewarding, just the same.

Presenting: Critical Capture, a Suho/Chen fic fest!

What is CRITICAL CAPTURE?
criticalcapture is a Suho/Chen (hereunto referred to as SuChen) fanfic exchange and fest. For this year’s round, as voted by potential participants, we’re holding another fic fest. Our goal is still, and will always be, to produce more SuChen fics so you don’t have anything to worry about!

How does it work? A fic fest is a prompt and claim fic event where people can leave prompts on the chosen platform, in this case Archive of Our Own. After all prompts have been collected, we will then reveal all prompts so a writer can claim a prompt of their choice. Their job now is to write it and submit it by the given deadline. Easy enough, right?

Professor Oak, what are the RULES?
1. Given that this is a Suho/Chen fic fest, you may only focus on Suho/Chen. Side pairings are fine, but the fic should revolve around their relationship.
2. The minimum word count is 1500 words. Exceeding the minimum is always encouraged, though.
3. Please DO NOT REVEAL to anyone which fic you wrote while this exchange is ongoing.
4. Please do not* drop out OR discuss your assignment in public. We will hunt you down, we swear.
* If you absolutely cannot write your prompt any longer, please do email/contact us as soon as possible. Due to the fact that this is a fic fest, we will not be looking for pinch hitters in case you drop your prompt. We will, however, be left with no choice but to put your prompt back in our prompts list and allow other people to claim them.
5. Further rules and guidelines will be found in our FAQ!

Important dates
FAQ, Prompting, and Claiming posts will be posted a week before they open!

Title: Things I’ve Learned From a Broken Mirror
Prompt Code: TW017
Rating: PG-13
Length: 22487 words
Summary: Junmyeon is an up and coming celebrity until he loses everything in a car crash. If he wants a second chance at life, he'll need to find a partner and fight for his life in a alternate version of Seoul that exists alongside the world he's used to - but it may not be as simple as just surviving.
Warning/s: Character death, violence

Notes: First off, I want to thank the mods of this fest. I blew through every single deadline and they nonetheless remained incredibly patient with me. Thank you, so much, and I hope I wasn’t too much trouble for you.
For my prompter: thank you a million times over for requesting this! I have to be honest, I wasn’t planning on joining this fest, but when I saw your prompt I couldn’t pass it up. Suchen and TWEWY, what could be more perfect? Please hit me up after reveals and let’s chat!
For those unfamiliar with The World Ends with You: you do not need to have played the game, read the wiki, or so much as looked at a Gameboy in your life to understand the plot (I hope!). I tried very hard to explain any game mechanics or plot points, but if there’s anything that’s confusing I’m happy to answer your questions anonymously in the comments.

Junmyeon's life ended on a cool spring day.
